Things to do in Hillerød : Our Experience
Our initial plan was to explore the town for about an hour before visiting Frederiksborg Castle, then spend time around town and by the lake in Hillerod for a couple of hours before heading to Helsingor to see Kronborg Castle. However, the weather had other plans for us. After two lovely days in Copenhagen, it started pouring rain when we arrived in Hillerod. We took a taxi to the castle, spent some time there, and on the way back, we walked to the train station in the rain. The rain paused briefly, allowing us to stroll near the lake, but it started again soon after. So, if you’re fortunate with the weather, here are our suggestions and things to do in Hillerod.
