Stuffed figs are a delicious and elegant appetizer that are often served at events and gatherings. The combination of the sweet, juicy figs with the savory and salty filling makes for a perfect bite-sized treat. Stuffed figs were served at the conference I attended couple of years ago. I recreated this recipe myself it quickly became my go to recipe for appetizers. Here is my stuffed fig appetizer recipe.

Stuffed fig appetizer recipe

Ingredients:

  • 12 fresh figs
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened( Use plant-based cream cheese if you wish)
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 12 thin slices of prosciutto

Instructions:

  1. Cut off the stem end of each fig and slice in half lengthwise.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, chopped walnuts, and honey.
  3. Fill each fig half with the cream cheese mixture.
  4. Wrap each stuffed fig half with a slice of prosciutto, securing with a toothpick.
  5. Serve chilled and enjoy!

To serve, you can arrange the prosciutto-wrapped figs on a platter with some fresh herbs or greens for garnish. You can also serve them with a drizzle of honey or a sprinkle of cinnamon for added flavor. These cream cheese stuffed figs wrapped in prosciutto make a delicious and elegant appetizer that is perfect for any occasion. They’re easy to make and require no baking, making them a great choice for a quick and easy appetizer.
