Passion Fruit Vinaigrette Recipe

This Passion Fruit Vinaigrette is my new favorite, alongside my go-to Pomegranate Vinaigrette and Avocado Spinach Dressing. I love making my own dressings, and vinaigrettes are the best—they’re healthy and super easy to make. The combination of tangy passion fruit and lemon makes this vinaigrette incredibly refreshing. It adds a vibrant touch to any salad or dish. Plus, it’s quick to whip up and always a hit!

How to make Passion Fruit Vinaigrette

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup fresh passion fruit juice (about 2 passion fruits)
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice (about 1 lemon)
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)

Instructions:

  1. Extract Passion Fruit Juice: Cut the passion fruits in half and scoop out the pulp into a bowl. Strain the pulp through a sieve to get 1/2 cup of fresh passion fruit juice.
  2. Combine Ingredients: In a mixing bowl, whisk together the passion fruit juice, lemon juice, and honey until the honey is fully dissolved.
  3. Add Olive Oil: Slowly drizzle in the olive oil while whisking continuously. This helps to emulsify the dressing, creating a smooth texture.
  4. Season the Dressing: Add the lemon zest, black pepper, and salt to the bowl. Whisk until all ingredients are well combined.
  5. Taste and Adjust: Taste the dressing and adjust the seasoning if needed. You can add more honey for sweetness or more pepper for a spicier kick.
  6. Serve or Store: Use the dressing immediately or transfer it to a jar with a tight-fitting lid. Store in the refrigerator for up to 1 week. Shake well before using.

How to Store Passion Fruit Vinaigrette

To store your Passion Fruit Vinaigrette, first transfer it into a clean, airtight jar or container. Keep the container in the refrigerator, where the vinaigrette will stay fresh for up to one week. Before each use, give the vinaigrette a good shake, as the ingredients may separate over time. Always check the vinaigrette for any off smells or changes in texture before using, and discard it if it seems off.
