Even though we are not religious, our experience in San Juan de los Lagos was great. We hired a private driver for a day trip and started by exploring the lively market. We enjoyed walking around, trying delicious cajeta, and shopping for unique souvenirs. The highlight was the tour of the Basilica, which was truly breathtaking. Inside, we were in awe of the beautiful architecture and the statue of the Virgin of San Juan de los Lagos. We also visited the Museum of Religion nearby, where we learned more about the city’s spiritual traditions. Overall, it was a great visit .
