Visiting Copenhagen: Our Experience
We spent one and a half days in Copenhagen, but it felt rushed; I wish we had an extra day in the city. We started early, visiting Nyhavn where we walked around and then returned to City Hall to explore its impressive interior, which was definitely worth the time.
Later, we joined a free walking tour, which was briefly interrupted by heavy rain, but we were fortunate to witness the captivating Changing of the Guard ceremony at Amalienborg Palace while the king was present, making it a memorable experience.
After the tour, we visited Rosenborg Palace to admire the Crown Jewels, followed by a stop at the Round Tower and a tour of Christiansborg Palace. In the afternoon, we explored Christiania before ending our day with a leisurely stroll through Tivoli Gardens, where we enjoyed the ambiance and had dinner. Reflecting on this itinerary, I would have preferred splitting our activities over two more relaxed days to fully appreciate and savor the city.
